37 Days Till My Surgery

I am counting down the days now and will be starting my opti-fast next tuesday. I will be on it 4 weeks and then my surgery.
Feeling a bit excited and a bit scared but can't wait to start living life again!
Any one else having surgery around that date?

I have a surgery date!

Hello all, I have been trying to figure out how to use this site and hope this works.
My surgery is on January 11, 2012 and I am looking for friends to help me on my journey to a new me.
I started this journey in March and I am excited and a bit scared at the same time but I can't wait  to feel better later on and finally see the thin me that has always been hiding inside me.
This site gives me a lot of help and I can't wait to be able to talk with others that have already been down this road.
Hope to find some really good friends that I can share my ups and downs with. Waiting to hear from you

My Story

I am a 58 Year old woman that has been morbidly obese all of my life. I  have tried many different ways to lose weight but what I lose always comes back and more.I have many health issues and I need hernia surgery but am too big to have it done ,so I need to t lose this time and keep it off. My doctor suggested going to the bariatric center and I have been seeing a doctor for weight loss for the past six months and having all my testing done at the same time. It has been a long process but I have been approved for surgery. I have no date as of yet for surgery but am waiting..
I am married and have one adult daughter who is the bright spot in my life. I enjoy gardening and working on crafts in my spare time.
I also enjoy my three dogs, we take walks and  watch the wildlife on our property.
I am excited to get the surgery , but am also a bit scared. If any one has some good advice I would love to hear from you.
