Informational Seminar, etc.

Well, I made the 80 miles round trip to St. Augustine for the informational seminar.  Even though I'm way ahead of the process, I felt I needed to go to the seminar again to get fresher information.  The last time I went to a meeting was about 11 years ago in Fort Lauderdale.  At that time I could do nothing because my insurance carrier didn't cover bariatric surgery and I couldn't afford it.  I proceeded to lose 100lbs. and guess what, I put it all back on and then some.  It makes me so upset to think about it.  But I MUST move on.

It was a good meeting and I met a really nice person.  What's so funny is that I had read her profile the night before so when she showed me her "before" photos, I told her that I had read her profile.  What a coincidence!  She looks AMAZING.  She's also the Head of Bariatrics at Flagler Hospital.  Wow!!  Dr. Koppman was superb and even stayed back to answer questions.  Another coincidence was that my insurance coordinator sent me an email telling me that all she's waiting for is my psych evaluation to turn my file over to the insurance company.  Well, who shows up at the meeting but my psych doctor.  Of course I approached her and told her the situation.  She said she'd get to it first thing in the morning.  Well, true to her word my insurance coordinator confirmed that she received the evaluation and she would be forwarding my paperwork to my insurance company ASAP.  Isn't it funny how God works in mysterious ways.  It's almost a sign.  Thank you dear Lord. 

Now, the waiting is on.  My insurance coordinator says it takes 2-3 weeks to hear from the insurance company.  Please, please pray for me.  I need all the prayers that I can get.
