11 months

Well its 11 months now and I'm down 150lbs. I lost about 7 pounds in September which is still pretty good but it is getting harder and harder to lose. I guess thats to be expected. Only 15 pounds till my goal which may change when I get there. I fit a 13/14 pants and a large top. I can fit a 11/12 but its tight....I do need to get them to fit better by the time we go to the Domincan in 2 months for a wedding. So thats my goal. Exercise has been a big part of my day. I can do 2 hours a day in 30 minutes increments which works for me. If I only do 1.5 hours a day I don't beat myself up. I usually walk but also use my ellipitcal/recombant bike as well as swim and do weights. Its all about moving. My husband will walk with me in the evening or we ride our street bikes. Lately we have been hiking a few trails around here. We live in the mountains so we have no excuse to get out. Winter is  coming and hopefully I stay motivated in the cold.

 

I still have some challenges with eating too many carbs and can tend to graze once in a while but I try to keep myself in check. I'm my own worst enemy and have to keep reminding myself 150lbs in one year is awesome. During the week, I do great cause I'm at work and its more structured. Weekends are more challenging.

Last weekend I went to a post op class. I was hoping it was more of a sharing class but instead it more of a lecture. I'd really like to know how people are doing and what works for them. I'm looking forward to my 1 year post op class on October 31st.
