Surgeon Testimonial

Bradley J. Needleman, M.D.
Dr. Needleman is a very warm and caring doctor. He cares for you as a person and not just another body to operate on. He allowed me to come back and answered the rest of the questions that I had. He did address the risks of surgery. I would rate Dr. Needleman very high. Both surgical competence and bedside manner is very important. Dr. Needleman was honest and open about the risks of surgery.

Protein is important Year 3 after WLS
on February 28, 2008 11:07 am
Happy anniversary to me!!!  I am weighing 163 pounds 3 years ago today I was weighing 271 pounds!!!

I am grateful to the Lord about the weight that I have shed.  I am learning how important protein is.  If I do not start my day with the protein I have a tendency to eat wrong until I get that protein in my body.  Which I have done today and I am miserable.

Day Before 3 year anniversary of wls
on February 27, 2008 10:50 am
Hello world,
It has been a wonderful journey my current weight is 163 pounds.  I am 12 pounds above what I normally want to be.  It is a number on the scale.  I am weighing more because I have developed more muscle.  Not a lot a skin sagging.  Just in my lower stomach.  I may eventually get it removed.  The nurse practioner says that it is about 10 pounds. This is not an excuse though.  My trainer told me to stay off the scale and go how your clothes feel.   I am still able to fit my size 6's though. So all is well.  I am going to support group tonihgt.  I guess it has been freaking me out beacuse I can eat a  bit more. The nurse practitioner says you pouch will stretch some.

approaching 3 years after wls

Saw the nurse practitioner and we reviewed how I was and how I was progress.  We talked about pouch maintenance.  Afterwards got to see Dr. Needleman he was pleased with the results.  They both told me to keep up the good work and not to drink pop the gas from the carbination causes your pouch to stretch allowing you to eat more food and I surely do not want to do that.   weighing 161.
