First Round of Success

My surgery is now just two days away. I check-in to the hospital Wednesday morning at 8:30. This morning the scale shows that I have lost 13 pounds from my heaviest weight. The all liquid diet is a bit tough and I do feel hungry, but I am reminded of the reason I am doing this every time I look at my boys or my wife. We had a great Christmas and my wife and I had a date yesterday. The cool thing was that our date didn't involve food and we had a great time together. I have realized how much of our social life revolves around food. We get together with friends for dinner, have dates we go to dinner, etc.... We have been working on lists of things to do together and with our friends that will not involve food. Change is not always real hard - sometimes it is fun. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
