VSG IN THE MORNING!

Dec 28, 2010

Well my day is drawing to a close and the reality of tomorrow become more of a reality by the minute. My VSG is at 10:30 in the morning.

I spent today with my family. Played Uno Moo and Toy Store 3 Yatzee together. My four year old loves to play games. A lot of thoughts have run though my head today. Some are thoughts are about the unknown results of the surgery, but mostly a lot of thoughts about life post-op.

I as surprised how little watching my family eat in front of my while I have been on the liquid diet and only clear liquids today didn't effect me. It didn't bother me like I thought that it might. I think that is a very good sign.

I just want to end this post with this thought - my family gets a new me - a new son, a new brother, a husband, a new dad. Roller coasters with my sons and coaching their soccer teams. Making my wife proud to walk down the street with me and being that guy this is full of energy and always keeps up with the chores and yard and still has energy to do things with the family afterward. It is this future that propels me forward - my love for them will change my body and I will become the person they deserve for me to be. I love you Amanda! I love you John Ross. I love you Remington.

Well I am heading to bed, want to be rested well for the day that will change my life. Thank you all for the encouragement that has come directly too me and also that which I get from reading your stories and posts. Thank you and good night!
