Month 1 down...
Mar 04, 2012
So, ny loss by February 29 is 15 lbs. I've actually lost a few more pounds for the beginning os March, but if I keep a running tally, they'll get counted for month 2.Hmmm, what's going on with me? Well, I self-administered my first B12 shot. That went just find, wasn't difficult at all. Put it in my thigh.
Seems like I'm eating with more difficulty than I was when I first got home. I get that full feeling in my chest more now. I am keeping my eye out for a stricture, but it doesn't seem so bad just yet. stuff is still going down...maybe it's just more difficult because I don't want it. Takes forever to eat anything..even drinking my protein shakes take hours, but hey, we press on with the belief that it will get easier with time.
Diarrhea, OMG, I started experiencing diarrhea at the end of the work day Friday. I've in and out of the bathroom from 2pm until now. Even a sip of water puts me on the toilet. Of course, I have a child, so I remember that I have to keep myself hydrated. I'm drinking gatorade and water. The only thing I had in my system when this whole thing started was a protein shake, and I haven't had one since, so I don't really know what set it off.
I did some research, found out that some post-ops take a daily regimen of Imodium AD for this issue....hopefully this is just an issue that I'm having, that will quickly resolve, but I did get myself some Imodium AD today.
Diarrhea over a period of a few days has been discouraging. I did go with my daughter to get our nails and eyebrows done (I thought I was ok), but by the time we got to the eyebrows, I was in knots. I really had to go, fortunately it's not far from my house, so I made it ok, but I've been stuck in the house all weekend. I'm afraid to go anywhere. I just took the Imodium, so hopefully it will kick in soon. This is the kind of diarrhea that makes your legs and feet hurt, so I've had a general feeling of malaise all weekend :-(...
Hopefully it will get better soon.
