Gail Wynn, M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Wynn was comforting. She is really soft spoken & a great Dr. Her staff are also great.

I've been battling my weight all my life. I was always the "Gorda" (fat girl) of the family. For yrs. my weight would go up & down. I don't remember weighing under 200 lbs since middle school. When I got pregnant with my 1st born son, I tipped the scale at 300lbs. It took for me to get pregnant with my 2nd son 5 yrs later to drop to 250 lbs. Stayed there for a while. Well for about 1 1/2 yrs. By the time my daughter came around I weighed 230 lbs. I guess getting pregnant 2 more times did me some good. It helped me lose the weight. I couldn't keep any food down with my last 2 pregnancies. (With my 1st 1 I wanted to eat everything in site.) After having my daughter, (my 3rd child) a few months later I had a tummy tuck. (that was in 2005) I stayed at 230 lbs for 2 yrs. Then my sister brought up the lap-band in late 2007. I looked into it with out telling anyone except for my hubby of course. I went to my doctor & asked about it but then she said I just needed to diet & exercise. I asked for diet pills, but still a no go. Then 1 day I felt sick so I made a same day appt. & my Dr. wasn't available. I had to see another Dr. Thank GOD he answered my prayers. He brought up my weight. I told him I've tried so hard & so many diets it's just no use. He said, "don't give up & I'm going to give you a referral to see a WLS." I thought WOW! Are you serious? Went home & made my appt. I had to wait 2 mths of course but it was so worth it. Went through the process & got my lap-band in 2007. It absolutely worked for me. Well, although I would lose & gain it back for about 3 yrs. I finally went down to 175 lbs in November 2010. THEN........I got into a car accident 12/2010. I couldn't exercise any more. The weight started coming back until I realized that I needed to go back & see Dr. Wynn. (my surgeon) I weighed myself & the scale said 240 lbs. Sure enough that's what the scale read when I saw my surgeon. She decided to do get me an appt. to get x-rays & her findings were that my tube for the lap-band was bent & needed to come out. We could do another lap-band or the VSG. I opted for the VSG. I didn't like the lap-band much. So October 19, 2010 I was sleeved. I'm loving it!!! I love sitting on the losers bench. Can't wait for the day my sisters look at me one day & say WOW you are no longer "gorda" (fat). Because even At 175 lbs, I was still the biggest in the family.
