So, yesterday DH, the dufus dog, and I were out for our daily walk and we passed a garage sale. Well, of course I wanted to stop but decided to wait until I was alone, (better shopping ). When I went back I picked up several items, including a denim skirt in a size 12 for when I drop these last 17lbs.  I tried it on at home and holy cow it fit! In spite of the fact that I look rotten in skirts because of my funky shape it looked good. Now I can be a hot mama.

While I was at the yard sale I was talking to the lady there (many people claim, falsely I might add, that I could/would talk to a turnip). Anyway, she was telling me about riding bike rather than walking. I said I was actually thinking about getting a bike but it had to be the old fashioned baloon tire, comfy seat, with a basket kind. She said hers was one of those and she'd gotten it at Walmart. I asked if I could ride it to see if indeed my back could tolerate it, so she got it out. Let me tell you, the first couple of minutes were ummm ah, lets say dangerous. I couldn't balance, then steering was odd and I nearly wiped out against my own car! I'd hate to prove DH right when he says "You're going to fall and break your foolish neck".  So, after about two minutes I got the hang of it and started riding for the first time in nearly 40 years, and it was fun! I am soooo gonna get me a bike. I ought to look just ducky riding around in granny shorts wearing my little bike helmet with the flame on it.    GO ME! I dun gud.
