Week 4

I was banded 4 weeks ago. Where did the time go. I'm down about 33 pounds and feel great. Last week I started exercising and was able to go 4 times, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Saturday I did some light walking around town and Sunday I walked over to the local park and then walked a lap around it. The course is marked off as 1.2 miles. I was really happy because it took me 17 minutes and 50 seconds to do it. That's a little over 4 miles per hour. During the week I usually use the treadmill and walk at 3.5 miles per hour for about 25 minutes and then cool down for 5. Yesterday I went to the gym and was able to walk at 4 miles per hour for a good portion of the 25 minutes. I even jogged for the last 90 seconds. This is great progress in the week that I have been exercising and I can only attribute it to loosing so much weight in such a short period of time.

I'm continuing on the stage 4 diet and have been pretty good about keeping to it. Although, I've added to the portion sizes because I find myself pretty hungry between meals. I don't think I'm overeating because I haven't had to purge. I'm surprised because I find myself cravinig fish. I can't get enough of it. Saturday's walk was a search for fish (Salmon to be exact) I finally went to the supermarket on Sunday and found some in the Kosher section.  A small piece was a little more than $5.00 and lasted for two meals.  Hot Sauce has also become my best friend.  When I couldn't find the fish on Saturday I opted for Chicken and Broccolli at a Chineese resturant. I took it home and buzzed it.  Very tasty, especially with hot sauce.
