3 Months and down!

Jun 15, 2011

Wow I can't believe that I am 3 months post op!  This has been an amazing ride!  My life is changing, I feel amazing and I feel like I am finally living the life that I have wanted to live (and I am only half way to my goal weight!)!

I have lost 60 pounds, and I am comfortably wearing size 18 clothes, a size that I have not seen in over 20 years.  Everywhere I go people stop me to notice the physical changes in my appearence.  I feel like I have a permanent smile on my face!  I do not regret my decision one little bit!  I recently started taking a "Boot Camp" exercise class with a former trainer from many years ago, that I failed, she was so happy to see me recommit to exercise and weightloss but I did not tell her about my surgery.  I just dont feel that she would understand my decision.  Maybe later I will tell her?  IDK.  My weightloss kind of slowed (which I expected) when I started working out with weights: I was dropping inches and building muscle and now the scale is dropping again!  Ladies dont be afraid to lift weights!  It is good for you!  Muscle is more metabolic and will help you burn calories for the long run of your life!

Last week I posted 2 pictures of me in my size 18's on facebook late at night and when I woke up I had a list of enthusiastic compliments!  It was a exciting as christmas morning for me!  Looking forward to this summer and lots of outdoor activities to add to my ever changing physique!  My goal is set for Onederland by Labor Day!  I think that it is doable!  I haven't been there for 25 years!
