I continue to wait for my dreams of wls to come true. I am now entering the new world of type two diabetes. I lost some weight and I thought I was doing a good thing and it was only the symptom of diabetes. Go figure. I am stilling losing weight now that I am taking metformin and watching my diet more carefully.

Updates

Here I am again just checking in to update info on myslef. I float around and read the message boards and reply and post from time to time.  I went to Dallas and saw another Surgeon  April 25th. I saw Dr. RaeAnne Capehart. My DH and I were both very happy with our visit with her. She has a lot of experiance in the field of bariatric surgery. I learned a lot from that meeting, I know that my DH did too.  I hate that I am having to do this self pay, due to the fact that should there be any complications for any reason I or my family will be responsible for a possibly huge bill.

I am re-reading my books about weight loss surgery and I  have picked up a few more. I am back on the weight watchers to drop a few pounds and start shrinking my liver and hopefully get myself out of the 50 + BMI, I have lost about 20 pounds. I think it's a start to reduce potential complications that my high BMI would cause.

I am planning to have couple, (or more), yard sales to raise some extra money to put toward my surgery as well as other issues. I have a lot of foolishness that has to go! My DH is a horrible pack rat, ever watch the Clean House show on Style Network...my home is like one of  those or worse depending on the day. LOL.

Still working toward having surgery. Still here .

How are you?

Pickin' myself up again
on August 10, 2007 8:44 am

Here I am pickin' myself up and brushing myself off and going to start all over again. I have to try some other avenues to have WLS. I am determined to make this happen, in my life.

Boy! does time fly! I haven't been on here very much and now here it is another year already! I am looking at other avenues to have wls. I see that a lot of people are having great sucess going to Mexico to have their surgeries done and perhaps it is really worth it.
