Support System

I'm feeling very let down lately.  I'm finally ready to do this, but most everyone is against it.  I understand the nervousness that comes with surgery, but I'm doing this to improve my health, so why am I meeting such resistance?

I'm just a little annoyed, but I'm still doing this.  Has anyone gone through this with little to no support?  How did you handle it?
