Well, I have been home for two days now and, for the most part, I've done really well. Most pain occurs when I stand up or sit/lie down. Otherwise, I'm good to go...maybe too good because I think I have overdone it. I drove my kids to their tutor yesterday (not while on meds), and then decided (opps!) to go to the pharmacy. I was wiped out when I came home. And today I had to run some errands and someone pointed out to me that post-surgery complications pop up when patient's do not comply with MD instructions (eg. rest!) So, I am grounding myself for today and at least the weekend. I guess because I feel so good mentally, I expect my body just to keep up--ain't -gonna happen though--I need to s-l-o-w down. Well, at least my kids will be away for a week starting tomorrow so I will not catch myself waiting on them.
