Annual update...

Okay, I know it's been a year, but a sista just can't sit still! It's actually gone by all too fast, but that's okay because it's been memorable. Since I've last posted, I've made some new friends, I've gone out with the girls a lot more often, taken a couple of classes @ college, and oh yeah, I TURNED 40!!!!! Life is good and marriage is even sweeter. My husband and mother threw a huge surprise party for my birthday (check the new pics in my I'm 40 album) and it was awesome! I would have never imagined and it was all the more special because I've never had a birthday party in my whole life.I'm 7yrs Post-Op now and I still feel great! I have absolutely no regrets and if necessary would have WLS again in a heartbeat. I've had no complications, no dumping, and no other adverse side effects that could have been caused by my surgery. My plastic surgery went well also, and I've even learned to be happy with the breasts I have left instead of going forward with implants. (Maybe when I'm 50 I'll consider it again, but I doubt it - LOL!)
Otherwise, there's not much to tell. Just enjoying life, keeping my weight under control (still staying around 160 with slight ups/downs periodically), I'm in a size 10 (some things even a size 8), and keeping my health in check. I did get to stop taking BP meds for a while, but back on them now (kind of unavoidable because almost everyone in my family has High BP). If that's the most I have to worry about from here on out, I'm good with that. I sleep well, I don't get winded and I'm way more confident than I have ever been in my entire life. I'm so glad this option is out there for anyone who can truly live with the decision to make such a drastic change in their life. It was worth it to me and I'm forever grateful!
