Pleasant surprise!!!

So I had a medically supervised diet appointment with my surgeon on Friday 9/16. During the process of us just talking he told me he believes I am ready to submit to the insurance since I have also been seeing a dietician every month. I don't want to get my hopes up because I don't want to be disappointed when I find out I got denied. But I am a little optimistic. I just have to meet with the dietician tomorrow and have her send her letter this week so we can submit. My surgeon's office is soooo nice, they allowed me to get a date just so I wouldn't have to wait long after getting the approval. I have had everything completed now except for my pulmonary clearance which they want me to wait until after getting approval. I am hoping that with them finding that my band has slipped and that I have an ulcer right around where the band is located, that will be enough to approve me. On an even brighter note, my oldest sister had her surgery today. She is out in recovery now and I am hoping to speak to her soon. Being that we are half sisters, this journey has really made us closer. We call each other with all our updates and what is going on in our lives. I thank God for this opportunity and someone to share it with. I will let you all know how it goes and good luck to everyone else out there whether in the beginning of the process, almost there, or post-op!!
