Date change!!

 Well I got another phone call from the dr office on the 26th of january and they changed my date to feb 2nd. so right now as i type i am 4 days post op and feeling pretty good.

 Got a call from the dr. office on monday. And the date is february 14th I will be the second one of the day! whoo hoo. Now if i can survive the 500 calorie diet for 14 days before surgury I can survive anything!!

Pre op done..check

 Went to my pre op on the 20th and it was very informative. The information book that I got at the doctors office came to life.  They basically went over it cover to cover and explained everything in detail. I really got alot out of it.  there is one thing that has me very scared tho and that is a 500 calorie per day diet for 14 days prior to surgury.  Can I do that?

nutrition class!

 WellI went to my nutrition class today. I was a little dissapointed because I really did not learn anything that I did not already know.  Well I guess I did learn that I should get chewable vitamins or liquid for post op.  Thats it that is all I learned. So the class meets again on the 27th of this month for a more one on one evaluation.  After that the lady that does the class will do the paperwork that is needed for the insurance and will get it back to the doctor.  She said that should take about 3 weeks.  When that is all done, It will be time to send for insurance approval. So i guess I am well on my journey.  Im excited and scared.  and right now very patient.

 Well Actually I just fumbled around long enough and figured out how to do this. Great. Well I am currently in the process of going to different appointments that are required by my insurance for the surgery.  I have already seen the shrink.... that went really well.  and Dec 13th and the 27th are my nutrition classes and then on Dec 20 is my pre op class. so after the 27th I will be done and waiting for all the reports to be turned in and then get the approval from the insurance.  I'm hoping this will not take very long. But i hear story's that it can be a very long time.... especially for the insurance approval. Anyways I'm anxious and I'm excited and I'm scared.  I really appreciate this site. I read alot of you other folks blogs and it helps and inspires me.  I plan on keeping a journal here myself.  So thanks for all your blogs and I will blog again myself soon.
