Surgeon Testimonial

John Oldham, Jr. M.D.
I was very impressed with Dr. Oldham after our first meeting. He was kind, funny and caring. I never felt rushed at all in my meeting with him. I was able to ask all of my questions that I had for him. He answered all of them professionally. I felt that I was in very capable hands.

I am 29 years old and have been overweight my whole life. I was put on my first diet at the age of 4 years old. I am also a momma to a beautiful 2 1/2 year old little boy who is my world. I am married to my best friend and soul mate, Pete. I have tried every diet out there, you name it. I started considering Lap Band about a year ago. After lots of soul searching and research I decided to go for it. I was banded on April 10, 2009. The best decision I have ever made. I am ready to start this journey and start my new life.

on June 11, 2009 3:02 pm
2nd fill was today and everything went great. I am now down 39 pounds and couldn't be happier. I now have 5 cc's in my 10 cc band. I really need to start  exercising more and quit making excuses. My new goal for this month is to exercise more. Loving my new life and my new journey!

First fill........ 5/11/09
on May 14, 2009 6:38 am
I must say that I was really scared on Monday. I didn't know what to expect. Everything went fine, my NP is awesome. She told me that there was two ways of doing a fill. Laying down or standing up. I told her that maybe I should lay down just in case I pass out or something. I knew that if she had to dig to find my port I was gone. She did great! She said my port was easy to find and that was it. Oh! She numbed me first so that was great. I now have 2.5cc in my 10cc band. I don't think that they are very aggressive there, but that's fine with me. Slow and steady wins the race........
