One year ago tomorrow I was going under the knife to have my guts rearranged. It has been a good year. I have:
lost 93 lbs.
gone from a 54" waist to a 40"
gone from a 3X shirt to an XL
Normal triglyceride levels from being in the 600's
Normal blood sugars (less than 100) with no more diabetes meds.
Life is good.
Challenges I face because of the surgery, but well worth the results.
Eating enough - I eat (graze) throughout the day for a total of 3500 to 5000 calories daily
Eating enough fat - If I don't get 50 to 60 percent of my calories from fat I suffer with dry skin
Drinking enough water - I really don't like water unless its really, really cold, but I am doing better
Taking my Supplements - During the week I have a great routine, but the weekends get me off track, here's my schedule:
6 am - 3 Tender Iron from Vitalady
8 am - 1 Calcium Citrate 500 mg, 1 B-Complex, One ADEK
9 am - 1 Calcium Citrate 500 mg, 1 Multivitamin
10 am - 1 Calcium Citrate 500 mg, 1 B-Complex, One ADEK
11 am - 1 Calcium Citrate 500 mg, 1 Multivitamin
I am not always exactly on time, but I keep the pattern and spacing.
I am right on track with my weight loss. By six months I had lost about 70 lbs, so if theories are right, I should be a goal by my two year mark. My body switched from overdrive weight loss to slow and easy about 3 month ago, so I only weigh monthly now.
I have increased my exercising now that the weather is better here in Oregon. We're walking as family each evening which is good for our physical and mental health.
I am look forward to another year with smaller sizes and new clothes.
