FYI-Blood Thinners and Needle Disposal

Upon leaving the hospital a you are to fill a prescription for a blood thinner that you self inject for 8 days prior to leaving the hospital.  If you are having your surgery and Humber River Regional Hospital the Shoppers Drug Mart and Jane and Finch Mall will fill it and has pre-filled disposable needles. What to do with the needles once you have used one? i asked the same thing sooooooooooooo I got a Bio medical waste container from the shoppers on my neighborhood I suggest you all do the same or where ever it is most convenient for you.  I asked but most people don't...makes you wonder what others are doing with the empty needles.  Once you are done your 8 days of self injection you simply return to Shoppers or where ever you got the bio medical waste container from and they dispose of it for you
