Pre-op class and pre-op physical certified now. My PCP sent me to St. Agnes Hospital to have an x-ray because they didn't have the machine there. I walked in and was out in less than an hour. I will have my surgery at St. Agnes so that's less paperwork to transfer. I also had my 3 year old there. I really like that hospital. I did learn at the class that I will be staying overnight. The RN said I will more than likely be discharged by lunch the next day. That doesn't really sit too well with me. Of course I would much rather be home. Just the thought that my husband and the kids will be alone for 24 hours makes me nervous. LOL He's supportive.
I'm glad he's taking that day off. In fact, he will have three days off. The RN also said that because of the H1N1 virus, no children are allowed in the hospital. So hopefully we won't have to do too much shuffling when it's time for me to go home. I don't have to go on a liquid diet before surgery but I will put myself on one by Thursday. Gotta have my last supper. I will be at Famous Dave's with bells on Wednesday!!!!!
