I received the phone call today from my Managed Care Organization.  They informed me that my appeal to reverse the denial to allow a VSG as a stand alone bariatric procedure was honored.  So stoked, almost in dismay.  I cannot believe I won the fight.  It goes to shoe you hard work does pay off, if you continue to persist.

Well, my surgery date is set for February 23, 2010.  I am going through many changes and trying to come to terms with a long line of troubled thoughts about my weight and how I feel about myself.  I want nothing more than to be the person barried inside this large frame.  I know I am in there, just begging to come out.  Somewhat overwhelmed by all of the changes and struggle with wrapping my mind around what is to come.  I have only yo thank my amazing family, who's strength and love for me motivates me to keep going.  I am excited and scared all at the same time and am so ready to just LIVE....
