Oh, yawl KNOW I LUV YA!!! 

Well, not normal mentally.....  Or weightwise (I'm technically still overweight)    WadEVA!....But I got back my annual labs, and everything, and I mean EVERYTHING (cholesterol, Vitamin A,D E, thyroid, calcium, etc., etc.), is in NORMAL range!    And that's sayin' sumthin' since I had HIGH cholesterol pre-op and I've been tinkering with my Vit A & D to get them normal.

So....What's that the naysayers are always yadda, yadda-ing about DS causing "malnutrition!" 

NAYSAYERS!!!!

I survived my first colonoscopy today! 

It wasn't so bad at all -- they give you date rape drugs first so they can have their way with you and you won't remember a thing! I really saw no difference in this "sedation" and being put out cold. I had no sense that the exam had even happened

or that the time it took had even passed, I asked them if they were sure they had actually DONE it!

The prep was the worst part. ESPECIALLY since telling a food addict like myself to eat only clear liquid the day before the procedure is bound to not go perfectly! First of all define "the DAY" before the procedure? That's 24 hours, right? So, if the procedure isn't until noon on Monday, then I can eat up until noon on Sunday, right?! And my instruction sheet says coffee -- so International Foods instant mocha--that's coffee, right?! Besides, I DESERVED some chocolate after gagging down that LEMON PLEDGE they call "Moviprep." Anyway, lemme tell you I had to pay DEARLY because of these "minor" discrepancies in my prep regime. I had to pay with the big E. Yup, that's right -- an ENEMA -- x 2    once I got to the surgery center because my poo wasn't CLEAR enough and the doc said to tell me he, "didn't bring his four-wheeler today!"

I told him that my butt was an "EXIT ONLY" and I didn't appreciate all these things going in it!!

Anyway, the most important news of course -- they found NO POLYPS!!!! So I don't hafta do this again for FIVE YEARS!!! YEE-HAAA!

This is a concoction I came up with so as I don't feel guilty eating strawberries with whipped cream (~0 protein).  I add a heaping scoop of Anywhey protein powder.  I don't recommend it for anyone except a DSer because of the high fat content. 

1 cup heavy whipping cream
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup splenda (and a half dropper of Stevia if ya got it)
heaping scoop protein powder
tsp vanilla

Beat with mixer until thick and creamy.  Use as dip for fruit. 

Gawd, I'm such a CAMERA WHORE now that the DS has me so much happier with my appearance!!!  Okay, just one more time, then I'll get outta yawls' face, I SWEAR!  But I got back the photos of my daughter and I made at WalMart for Christmas.  I still like best the one which is my avatar that my daughter took on her CAMERA PHONE while we were waiting at the studio.  My husband reckons I like that photo because it is a like 3/4 shot of my face rather than straight on.  Straight on I still see a very round, FAT face!  I mean, LOOK at my daughter's cheekbones!  Where are mine?!?!  All I have are CHIPMUNK CHEEKS!

Aren't we BEAUTS?!  L-R -- My mom (workin' on pre-ops), me, Ms. Natt the KNOCKOUT!, Jinjer (surgery on the 12th!!) and Beth (lookin' and losin' good!).

The NADS are a group of sparky women, lemme tell you (plus Preuit!)  Preuit and Ms. Batt couldn't make it cuz they are in Florence and Preuit was on a business trip . 

Ah, well....hopefully next time!  We're getting to be quite a group! 

P.S.  Funny story!  At lunch Beth was talking about her poodle, Kirby.  The name Kirby made my ears perk up.  I said, "Where did you get Kirby?" and Beth said, "At some rescue," and started describing an area of town where I USED to live.  Then I asked, "Did she have red toenails when you adopted her?"  Beth looked at me like, "How the HELL did you know that?!"  I stuck out my hand.  "You adopted Kirby from me!," I said.  "NO WAY!" Beth exclaimed, taking my outstretched hand!  It was hilarious!  Beth didn't recognize me because she adopted Kirby over 3 years ago and I lived in a different part of town then and weighed 100 lbs. more!  Of course I didn't recognize her either, cuz I NEVER remember my human clients, but I ALWAYS remember the animals!

BT asked me, "So - have you decided what you're sending Dr Ryce for Christmas?   I'm thinking squashed chocolates, left over shrimp tails, and one of your Glamour Shots.  *lol*"

   Yeh, good ones!  AND a FART in his general direction! 

Earlier this week for my one year update, I was disappointed that I had regained the 3-4 lbs. I lost last month over Thanksgiving, giving me a ZERO weightloss for the month.  Well, I am happy to report after kind of (no sugar) getting back to basics this week I have relost that Thanksgiving weight, AND dropped to a new low of 172.0!   

I met with my local DS Sisters (Jinjer, Beth, Natt and my mom) yesterday for a delicious lunch at Red Lobster.  We wanted to get together to see off Jinjer for her surgery on the 12th!  It was delightful to see them, even, Natt!  I had blackened catfish fillet (Jeanie!) and a side order of jumbo sea scallops broiled in butter!  Before the meal, while the other dainty ladies ate salad, I had clam chowder with one of those naughty garlic/cheese biscuits!  But isn't it lovely our weight can tumble downward after such a meal?!

I have changed my ticker at the bottom, cuz I SAW 172, so now I can DRIVE IT!  Also, I went ahead and lowered my goal weight to 159 cuz that will put me in normal weight range.  I was afraid for so long I would never make it there....but it's starting to look like I just might!

Can I getta HELL YES, I LOVE MY DS!!
