My name is Elisa, but all my friends and family members call me Lisa.

I had gastric bypass in Oct. of 2008.  I'm not exactly sure what I weight at my heaviest, because I seriously avoided any & all scales, but I'm guessing somewhere around 230. Today, THANKS to Neweigh, my WLS & the grace of my HP, I range between 120 - 130.

I'm currently 35 years young.  I've been living in the Houston area for about 5-6 years.  I'm married to a great guy named, Mike and have an amazing daughter named Vivian Leigh.

Loyalty or Insanity ??

Call me crazy, it’s okay.

This weekend I actually considered replacing my old robe.  No big deal, right?

Well…WRONG. I couldn't’t do it.  My old robe has been with me though so much, probably a good 10 yrs, maybe more.

·      - Big/Plus Size -Lisa

·      - Pregnant-Lisa

        - New mom-Lisa

     - Shrinking- Lisa

·      - Today-Lisa

This robe has wrapped its self around me, all versions of my body, through all these changes.  – It would be like tossing and old friend.  I just can’t do it.  I’m just not ready.

NUTS, I know....

I've never been the "blog" type, but maybe I should think about it.  Just seems a bit strang to me. Out of my comfort zone, I guess.   -- What do people blog about anyway?  Hmmm?  What's the purpose of a blog?

My Story

work in progress...

My story...hmmm?  What's my story?

My story is....

I've struggled with weight for as far back as I can remember.  I'm a big time FOOD addict.

In 2008 I finally "saw the light" and with the help of Neweigh I was able to get gastric bypass. I had an amazing doctor.  Dr. Kadoli did a great job and I had no complications.  My recovery went well and each day after surgery was better than the day before.

This was a major turning point in my life. With the help of this amazing tool, I was able to lose a little over 100lbs.  Sometimes, I can hardly believe it myself. -- I can ride down the slide with my daughter at the park.  I can run around and play chasing games with her.  It's amazing, like a new me.
