I am a 56 year old grandmother of 5, mother of 3, wife of one....got married at 16 years old and weighed 115 lbs.  After baby #3, I was up to 180, then went to work full time and over the next few years progessed up to 266.  In Feb 2008, my daughter and I went in and both had lap band surgery.  Went great for about 8 months...lost about 50 lbs.  Over the next couple of years and a few fills, I gradually got to where I could not swallow the protein I was supposed to be eating, so I enjoyed the foods that would go down and gained back about 20 lbs....my daughter had lost about the same, but with a fill, could either eat anything at all or not even swallow water...and gained back all but about 14 lbs.  So, on April 6th she was sleeved and on April 18th I was sleeved.  Today is April27th and she has lost 25 lbs...I have lost 15 lbs.  I am 5 lbs. away from my lowest lap band weight in only 3 weeks (counting liquid pre op).  I am soooo glad that band is out of me and so excited to see what the future holds for me and my new best friend...my sleeve!!!!
