Just over two weeks to go

My surgery is scheduled for July 28 at Richmond Hospital and I admit the nerves are starting to happen. I've been waiting for this for nearly three years now, so the fact it's just around the corner is both exciting and scary. I know that six weeks from now, when all the pain is gone and I'm seeing pounds fall away, I will be nothing but happy.
Of course I know it might be rocky at times, having been working on the emotional/psychological eating part of things and I'm sure there will be days when I'll see an endless all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet and want to cry because all I can manage will be a cup of hot and sour soup... but I also know my health has been suffering and if I want to live to see retirement and enjoy it, I damn well need these changes.
So, in a couple of more days I start my liquid pre-surgery diet and then it's off to hospital and some great new beginnings.
