Surgeon Testimonial

Luis Jimenez
He is very kind and knowledgable. He is willing to work with me and the guidelines my insurance company has set up. He is thorough and I can't wait for this surgery to start a new life! I honestly have not any negative comments about him except for the fact that this physcians office is extremely busy and I don't always get a call back for a while without several atempts to reach the nurse who is in charge of the bariatric surgeries in his practice.

Hi Keela, You don't know me... I don't post often (joined about 8 months ago and haven't had surgery yet but am considering it) but I just wanted to belatedly wish you well and let you know that we are all "rooting" for you and sending you good wishes to you and your family. Your daughter is beautiful by the way --what a beautiful family you have! Take good care and feel better soon. Lori (loris_story)

Hello everyone! I am writting this on Keelas behalf. She went into surgery at 0730 this morning and was completed at 1200. She did exceptionally well. the surgeon did an amazing job as well as the staff mentioned that it was the best one he has ever done. Her anatomy was great and there were no complications. She is in alot of pain and is on a pca for pain control. They will be getting her up for a walk this evening. I have been blessed not only to be her husband but for most of your support people I am in charge of the operating room where she had surgery so I was able to keep a very close eye on everything as well as peek in from time to time. Was with her when she fell asleep as well as there when she woke again. I know that she probably wont remember any of that but I know I was with her from the beginning the during and the end..........

HI my name is Keela and I live in  Maine.  I began this  journey of pursuing WLS in August of 2007.  I just received my date last week.  So I'll be having lap RNY on May 9, 2008.  I look forward to my surgery date with some fear, but with hopeful anticipation.  I'm in God's hands and he is the ultimate healer.

September 9, 2008 Almost 18 weeks
on September 9, 2008 9:10 am
I weighed in at 172.2lbs. this morning.  I struggled a little bit with the weight loss the last couple weeks.  I was doing what I'm supposed to, but the scale wouldn't move, except for going up a couple pounds.  Finally, I lost the couple  I had gained and lost a couple more!  I really Increased my fluids.  Not sure if that did the trick, but I am going to keep it up.  If I could complain about anything, it's my crazy hormones, but I 'll take it if it means losing weight and keeping it off.  I hope things even out in that dept. when i hit goal.

I weighed in today at 176lbs.!!!!!!!!  Tomorrow will be 15 weeks since my surgery.  As with all my other posts I am soooo grateful!  I attended my friends' wedding last weekend in a new, Very Sexy, size 12 dress.  I have not felt that Great in a while.  My Husband was in heaven!!!  I also just bought a trenchcoat for $20 on clearance.  It was the last one AND it's a MEDIUM!!!!  I so longed to shop at this store, but never fit in anything until they added a plus section.  Now I fit in MEDIUM????!!!!!  Thank you Jesus for this unbelievable opportunity!! Please keep me on track and help never forget where I came from so that I never return!!!!!!

August 12, 2008...Just Grateful
on August 12, 2008 8:00 am
Today I weighed in at 180.8lbs.  I've lost pretty quickly in the last few days.  I feel so hopeful, grateful, thankful, and blessed.  I know I could have never gotten here this quickly on my own.  I LOVE my RNY.  I f anyone should happen to read this post, I would encourage you to find a great surgeon and pursue this surgery!!!!  It saved me from a lot of continued heartache.  When I say heartache, I mean serious over the top tears and grief.  I read an email that i wrote to my husband last Valentine's day.  I never sent it to him because it was more of a cleansing of emotions for ME then something he needed to be burdened with.  I almost cried reading it, but it was a good reminder of how hopeless I felt.  That was six months ago and my life is completely different now.  I am so thankful for the blessings in my life!!!

August 1, 2008 12 weeks today
on August 1, 2008 9:54 am
Well,  It's been  twelve  weeks.  Time  has  gone  by  so  quickly.  I  weighed  in  today  at 186.6lbs, that  is  59.4 lbs.  from  my  heaviest  and    about  50lbs.  since  surgery.  I  can't  believe  the  transformation  my  body  and  my  mind  have  gone  through.  People  are  noticing  more  and  more  now.  I  went  to  the  local  fair  with  my  DH,  DD,  and  my  mom  and  dad.   So  many  people  stopped  to  tell  me  how  great  I'm  looking.  I  have  to  admit  that  felt  pretty  wonderful.  Glory  to  God.   For  every  blessing  He  pours  out,  I'll  turn  back  to  Praise.. (lyrics  of  a  praise  and  worship  song).   People  are  asking  me  more  and  more  how  I'm  doing  it.   I  have  been  saying  "hard  work  and  exercise ".   and  then  quickly  change  the  subject.  I  don't  feel  like  I'm  not  being  truthful,  because  I  don't  feel  as  though  I  need  to  tell  everybody.   Thank   you  all  for  your  continued  support!!!

July 22, 2008 Happy Birthday to me!
on July 22, 2008 6:23 am
Well, It's been a little while since I posted.  Today is my 32nd Birthday.  I weighed in at 191.8lbs.  I had hoped for 190lbs., but I'm definately not complaining.  I'm almost 10 weeks out and so VERY thankful, grateful, and completely exstatic that I had this surgery.  I sometimes feel as though I could shout it from the top of my lungs.  I see overweight people and so much want to share the GREAT news of how this surgery changed my life.  I don't of course, because this surgery is a very personal and private decision.  I have given away all my size 18 & 20 clothes.  Weird how it's kinda hard to let go of them.  I have much nicer and much smaller clothes that fit now and some that will soon, but my big clothes in a way meant a lot because I use to have to fight so hard to find SOMETHING I felt comfortable in.  That may sound trivial to some, but I think some of you out there may understand.  I can't update without saying that my Lord and Savior JESUS is why I'm here today!!!!!
