7 Months Post-Op

Jan 20, 2010

Well it has been a little over 7 months since I had my wonderful Gastric Bypass. I have lost 90lbs & went from a 43 BMI to a 28 BMI. I'm 2 points from being a normal (if there is one) BMI which is 27 and under. I started this journey at 244 lbs so I think 90lbs is pretty good.
I went for my 6 month (about a month late) last week and Dr. Garth Davis says all my blood work is great. Yeah Me!
Since I'm only about 10-15 lbs from being in that normal BMI range they say I can go ahead and start looking into getting plastic surgery done. I figure by the time I get a appointment and see what insurance will or wont pay for I will be a year out from surgery and be pretty much at a stable point. I'm pretty sure if I have plastic surgery done that will get at least 5+ lbs off of me. Mine skin is not to saggy; but the boobs have deflated and there is some stomach I would like to see gone. It does not hang; but I can say I could go down at least 1 or 2 pant sizes if all the loose skin where gone.
I'm gonna try to figure out how to put my measurement chart on here for those that may wont to take a look and my progress since surgery.
I feel great and for once in my life I think I look pretty darn good. When I get dressed and go look in the mirror I don't cry like I use to. Now the big problem is instead of my clothes being to small or look like a pup tent now they are to big for me. (Don't worry I'm not gripping) I just do a lot of shopping at re-sale shops and Goodwill store. It seems I go down a pant size every 2 weeks no matter if I loose weight or not. Great problem to have. Right????
