The Journey Begins

May 2015, I have been told by a wonderful doctor that she can't help my pain that the only thing she can recommend is Gastric Bypass or something of the sort. I felt my heart hit the floor, I mean my world went numb and I sat in my elec wheel chair thinking I was at the end of my rope there was nothing else that could be done for the pain. As I left her office my husband and I were waiting out front for the bus to arrive to get us and my husband asked me what happened and I said in a very low voice, there is nothing she can do, there is nothing anyone can do. So the bus came and we got on ad all the while this little voice kept saying check it out. The next day I made an appointment with my family doctor and as I waited on him to come in the room I never felt like he would say no, I had the gut feeling he would say go for it but I had to hear his opinion about it. My doctor came in and as usual he gave me a kind hug and asked how I was and then got serious and said, whats your feelings on me having Lap Band surgery?
