Well, life just gets better and better(NOT!!) On the 3rd of Dec. I took a nasty fall slammed down onto the pavement and mucked up my left knee and my back. It is a long story involving sheep and a live nativity at our local Christian School. Then on the 4th my MIL ends up in the hospital with severe pneumonia and on the 7th my FIL had kind of emergent prostate surgery! They are 91 and 87 and still live at home, but needless to say this all has put a huge wrinkle in that. My hubbyis an only child, so 99% of all the stuff with them is falling on me, as I am still off work since all my medical issues since mid-October. And one of us HAS to work! She is now in rehab in a nursing home and he is back home and managing on his own, but I have to drive him to see her every day as he is not up to driving at this point, and that is about a 40 minute drive each way. She of course is not happy there even though it is a beautiful place with excellent care. But typical of old people, she just wants to go home and can't seem to realize that she needs to get stronger and he needs a little more recovery time before she comes back home where he does most of her care. I hope I drop dead someday before I get to the point of putting my kids through what we have gone through over the past few weeks!I haven't even put up the Christmas tree yet although I did pick one up and it is setting outside by the back door. We have a big party this Sat. with my family that I have to make a lot of food for, so I have to plan all that to fit in as well over the next couple of days. I did get my lighted village put up(Elfland) and got the nativity set out as well on the mantle and it looks nice. I got a fresh wreath for the front door and two lighted topiary trees to set there as well, so at least there is a little Christmas going on here! But I usually go all out for Christmas, so it is a little pathetic this year. I'm hoping we can get his parents squared away at home by the end of the year as I am going back to work the first week in January(hopefully).
