31 Days in counting

This has been a long journey, but in just 31 days I am scheduled for my RNY.  I am experiencing a mix of emotions and anticipation of finally having my surgery.  Here is a short overview of my journey so far.

Timeline:

Late December: Information Session

Early January: First Appointment (4 hour appointment)

Mid January: Follow-up Appointment (4 hour appointment) - psych evaluation, nutritionist meeting, and physical therapy

Since I do not have any co-morbidities my insurance (Medica) requires that I see a nutritionist for 3 consecutive months before I can submit my insurance approval.

February: 1st Nutritionist Appointment

March: 2nd Nutritionist Appointment

April 5th: 3rd and final Nutritionist Appointment - Shortly after this appointment my paperwork was submitted for approval

April 8th: I received my insurance approval and scheduled my appointment with the surgeon

April 14th: Appointment with the surgeon and scheduled my surgery for May 23rd!!!!!!
