Trade one pain for another!!

Well, I thought things were looking up since I haven't had to take any more gasx and the chest pain only pops up in the morning when I sit up for some reason (but doesn't last long).

Don't you know it, now I have a cold!!! I am probably due for one since they are about 3-4yrs apart. I guess working in a hospital gives me a pretty good imune system!!! So now starts the sore throat, the runny nose, and achy ears. Good thing I'm still off work and can rest up. I also woke up with a huge back ache. Had to pee around 4am and tried to stand up only to have to sit right back down again. I really thought I would have to crawl!!! Never felt pain that bad in my lower back. I don't remember twisting it or anything, but I must have slept wrong somewhere along the line. It was still bad when I woke up later, but some heat and moving about has helped. I wanted to take a painkiller, but the ones I have are huge and I was worried it would get stuck.

I managed to take puppy to indoor play this afternoon. It's way to fridgid for even a short walk, he doesn't like the cold. He did ok considering we haven't been there in a while. He's very shy and timid, but lasted an hour before he got really clingy. Then grabbed some more soup, yogurt and cold medidine on the way home. I'm not a fan of liquid cold remedy, but I'm too afraid to take any large pills. The soup felt warm and cozy and now I'm ready for another nap. Good thing puppy is too.
