6/2011 Decided to get serious about my life and have WLS-considering the Lap Band8/25 Seminar
9/12: First clinic visit- task- lose 12 lbs and exercise daily,researching VSG as alternative
to Lap Band
9/13: Lab work done
9/27:Official weigh in down 7 lbs feeling great!
9/27:Psych Eval Done-deemed safe for WLS
9/28: Sleep Study
got the call 10/10 that it was negative YAY!10/12: Second clinic visit
hoping to get an appointment to meet with Dr.Posner late Oct or Early Nov and be Sleeved before the year is out. I would love to be at a healthy weight by my 30th birthday 6/14/12.
*Update*10/31 Met with Dr. Posner (what a cutie, great bedside manner, very personable) he was awesome! Answered all my questions thoroughly and honestly and made me promise not to self diagnose after surgery. His secretary Leslie who is also very nice submitted everything to my insurance company, so now I wait...
11/4- Called IHA to "touch base" and my approval is still pending. It can take up to 15 days he says so be "patient". Im trying to stay busy and in the gym so I wont have to think about it too much. Leslie said she was booking into November (this month) so if I can get approved soon I may be sleeved before Christmas. Fingers crossed-toodles for now :)
11/8 APPROVED!!! My surgery has been scheduled for 11/29 and I am so very excited! Now off to pre op testing I go!
