Almost that time...

Well, I received the official approval letter from my insurance company last week (it's a very touching letter, too...I feel like they really care about my health) and I had my surgery orientation today.  It was great meeting a few of the other people who will be having surgery the same week as I will.  We all had some of the same questions and anxieties so it was good knowing we all had the same concerns.  I will have all of my pre-op testing done tomorrow morning and I'm getting a little more anxious everyday.  I'm excited that I have reached this milestone because a year ago I was thinking I would never get here.  I had to change some things and accept others but the biggest change that I'm happiest about is the change of surgeons.  Having a surgeon that you can fully trust and build a good rapport and relationship with is priceless.  I am thankful that I made the decision to not accept what I was previously being given because I feel much more comfortable and confident now.
