My 6 month update...

It has been a long time coming for this update...I promised myself I would update my blog regularily and I have not done this!
So now to summarize the past 6 months....llife has been busy and truly amazing.
I have lost 116lbs to date!! I feel incredible! My health issues have mostly resolved and I take only one med now plus my potpouri of vitamins.
I have lost close to 90 inches....can you believe that??!!
I went from a size 32 pant to about a 20 and some pants an 18 right now...I haven't seen these sizes in 20 years!!
Tops went from 5-6X to 1-2X right now!!!
I can sit in chairs and not be completely freaked out that they will break now...I can go through turnstyles without fear I won't fit, I can sit in a restaurant booth and I have room between me and the table, and my self confidence is higher then ever!!!
I have the best support system I ever!! My family, Friends, Work family, and MY OH FAMILY are with me every step of the way!! My support group is the best ever and I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
I now have an amazing guy in my life and I am so happy. I am very excited about what the future holds for us and for me and my journey!

I really have had no complications (other then some nerve pain early out) and am so happy that I had my RNY! Dr Zeni and his staff are simply the best. St Mary Mercy Hospital is one of the top notch hosptials in my opinion and would and have recommended them to others.

I have started a second support group in London and if you want more info message me and I'll share with you! Having a strong support system ensures success with this surgery! This is a tool and when used with other tools..you can succeed and achieve your goals!!

Many things have changed in my life the past year..and I couldn't be happier...leaving a mentally and emotionally abusive husband, having RNY surgery, making my dreams come true, filing for divorce, starting a support group, moving out (again) and living my life to the fullest....lots of changes and I am sooooo ready!!! Look out world...here I  come!!

Finally able to write my update....

I can't believe its been over 3 weeks since my RNY surgery....where has the time gone???!!
First of all..thanks to all my OH friends who have messaged me, called me, prayed for me, or just thought of me.
You all have a special place in my heart and will be my friends forever!

My family has also been outstanding! I don't know what I would do without my mum. As you all know, I am separated and had to move back home...its been a blessing in disguise as my mum has been my saviour!! I LOVE YOU MUM!!
After some debate we decided to go to Livonia the day before surgery...I was worried about traffic!
The bowel prep was horrendous...but necessary. Enough said.
I arrived the morning of surgery at 10:15am. Blood taken, pregnancy test done, and sent to wait. I was called back to get the gown on, IV put in, and the botties put on. The IV was a nightmare...I actually felt bad for my nurse, but she gave me locals each time and it wasn't so bad..third time was the charm!!
My surgery was postponed 2 hours due to complications of the fellow before my surgery. Poor guy had a rough road.
My surgery went well...Dr Zeni fixed to hernias I didn't know I had, and dealt with some scar tissue from a previous surgery.
All in all things went well and now is the hard part...recovery.
I've been dealing with nerve pain...which is finally relieving...after alot of praying!!
I've lost 29lbs so far since surgery and 44lbs since July!! I am so proud of myself for this!!!
I feel great, although tired. But I am resting and doing everything I can to heal and improve.
I am so excited about life these days and what is waiting for me out there!!

I LOVE MY WLS!!!

It's time!!!

Well its time! I can't believe its finally here!!
So here I sit in the hotel room one day before surgery! I can't wait!! I have been blessed to be able to have my health and life back!!
I have met some fantastic people along this journey so far!
Some in person and some on this wonderful site!!
My family has been amazing! I thank God for them everyday!
My life has really come full circle the last few months....I am happier now then I have been in years!
My friends have been incredible and I love them all!
Tomorrow, a new chapter begins in my life...I am thrilled and so ready for what life has to offer me!!
Thanks to all of you who have supported me!! I am just getting started!!

4 MORE SLEEPS!!!

So as I sit here typing I can't believe how fast time the time has gone...and all that has changed in my life in the last 3 months...The day of my surgery will be one day shy of the 3 month mark that I left my husband...WOW!!!!! GOD is GOOD!!!
I am so happy with my choices and so excited about the next 50 years of my life!!!
I am leaving for Livonia Michigan on Tues morning bright and early..will be checking in from the hotel on Tues and hopefully Wednesday morning before I go for surgery!!
Thanks for your love and support!! So happy that I have made new friendships for life!! I am truly blessed and I thank God for this gift!

Time flies by!

So I sit here...with 12 short days to go....in 5 I will be finishing my PATS...I am so blessed. I have been so emotional the last couple of days!
GOD IS GOOD!!!  To quote my great friend Jen!
I love all of you who have touched my life and heart. I would not be able to be successful without all of your help!!!
18lbs is just the start.....
Will keep you all updated!

My Story

I was a chubby kid, and a chubbier teen....which then changed to a fat adult. I was mostly happy and social...but I wasn't really me! Deep down I was struggling with depression and heading for a time in my life that was challenging and with my families support and with my faith I came shining through.....Within a year I met an Irish guy  (I was 36) and thought he was my Mr Everything...he turned out to be my Mr Wrong....we have recently separated and I am so happy now...I'm free!!! 
This year I turned 40 and I said I would be 40 and FABULOUS...didn't know what that would be in March...but I now know....I am going to be healthy, thinner, and extrememly fabulous!!! I am now a funky fat chick in recovery!! I feel so blessed to have this exciting start with a healthy new life! He has a plan for my life and I praise Jesus for hearing my prayers!! Thank You Jesus!
I am so excited about this process and looking forward to making many new friends.
