I had an appointment with the surgeon that did my gastric bypass surgery today. He was very proud of me and said I was a model patient. I have lost 77 pounds and all my bloodwork looked great except my iron is a little low. So I will have to take a low dose iron supplement (30 mg a day). I was worried he would say that I needed B12 shots, but he said that it was perfect and I didn't need shots. I go back to see him in 3 months to check my bloodwork again. He also gave me the green light to start back to Curves. I will start going again tomorrow morning. I have checked off 2 more goals on my list. I walked all the way from the 4th floor of the parking garage and half way across the hospital to his office and didn't need to stop to rest. And I wasn't out of breath when I got there either. I also got rid of the seat belt extension.
