I've been waiting 2 weeks for it to get framed. I love the great job they did. It cost a pretty penny, but it was worth it. Before surgery I would have used that money to treat myself to restaurants and junk food. This is more satisfying and rewarding than that junk ever was. I can't wait to finish the next one and get it framed too.

I have been thinking the last few days about the things I have learned and the changes I've been thru in the last 10 months. So, I decided to make a list and share.

Things I've learned since WLS

1.  Take smaller bites or I will get sick.
2.  Chew well or I will get sick.
3.  Don't gulp my drinks or I will get sick.
4.  Get plenty of fluids or my blood pressure will drop too low, thus causing me to pass out.
5.  Zippers and buttons make me feel thinner than stretchy clothes.
6.  Get my quota of protein and take my supplements or my energy will drop.
7.  People treat me different now than before WLS, but I am still me.
8.  Losing weight results in a higher self esteem, more confidence and more self respect.
9.  I have more energy and do more if I drop a few more pounds.
10. John loves me no matter my size.
11. Little changes make a big difference.
12. I discover something new or improved in myself each day.
13. I need to eat healthier, more often, and smaller amounts of food.
14. I need to exercise on a daily basis...NO EXCUSES!!!
15. People actually watch my progress and want to follow my example (which helps me to remain accountable).
16. I have a stronger willpower than I realized and I'm more determined than others realized.

I'm sure there's more, but these are some that come to mind right now. What have you learned???
