Come on phone... ring!

I'm waiting for a couple of financing groups to get back to me with word on a loan or a line of credit.  They can call or email... so, of course, I have my email open and lurking behind my other windows and I run over and check it EVERY TIME I see my inbox number increase by 1.  My phone is two inches from my elbow on my desk and I'm willing it to ring. 

This, of couse, is a double edged sword.  I'm DYING for them to get back to me... but only if they say that I'm approved.  Every time I go check my email, I'm only half hoping I've got something from eFinance.  Part of me is a little relieved that my new email isn't from them because that means it's not a rejection... yet.

I'm scheduled to have a phone consultation with Dr. Guajuardo tonight at 7:30.  I'm stoked!  I want to get a feel for him and his skill as a surgeon.  Can you do that over the phone?  I think so.  Of course, I've also practically web stalked Drs. Guajardo and Rumbaut for the last couple of weeks looking for information.  All good so far. 

I learned something very cool today.  The hospitals where Drs. Guajardo and Rumbaut practice hold themselves to Joint Commission standards.  My favorite local hospital does, too.  That put me at ease.  I also looked up the hospitals and did the virtual tours for each.  They're BEAUTIFUL!  It's almost a shame that I'm going down there for surgery when there's so much to see.

But, hey, maybe that just means that I'll come back when my butt fits into one airline seat instead of two!
