Sugery done 08/17/10 & Feeling Good

This journey has been great!!! Right now I can say it was worth all of the pain. I had the VSG on 08/17/10. My surgeon was Dr. Jon Pirrello, in Matthews, NC. He was awesome. The surgery itself went well. I had a hernia repair as well as a cyst removed from my liver. The cyst was sent to biopsy and everything was normal, thank GOD. Since the surgery date I have not been hungry at all. I do admit when I see my children or other people eating I do desire to taste the food.   I think that is what I miss the most so far. I my first five days following surgery was very challenging; I had low energy and was very tired. On day six I started to feel like I had more energy and could function like a normal person. Right now I am on liquids, but I am finding it hard getting my protein in. I have been really concentrating on getting my fluids in too. I want to keep a positive attitude and not be too anxious but I can’t want.
