I HAVE BEEN APPROVED! The Countdown Begins!

Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 3:24 p.m. is a day, date and time I will always remember and never forget! It's when I received the best phone call ever from my Cinga Nurse Case Manager, notifying me that I have been APPROVED!!! YAY!!! Then I called my surgeon's office to speak to my Patient Coordinator to make sure she had received the same information. As soon as I heard her voice, I could tell she already knew. She said, "You and I did it girl! We rock!" I was so excited I could barely contain myself! I was in a store so I couldn't get too crazy but belief me I got crazy enough...lol! My 4, 6, and 13yo kidlets were with me. My 13yo knew exactly what was going on, she was excited with me. It's a moment that I will always remember!

The first person I called was my husband, he was ecstatic! Then I called Mom and my Soulie, DeniseATL! She too knew by the sound of my voice that I had been approved! We had our moment together on the phone as I stood in the middle of the store. At this point, I could care less where I was! I felt like announcing to everyone, "I've been approved for WLS and my life will forever change...for the better! I'm getting ready to officially join the LOSER"S BENCH!!!" LOL!!!! My daughter was encouraging me to do it, she said go ahead Mom, tell the world! She made me feel so fantastic!

I am in tears as I blog. It has finally hit me what is about to happen. I barely slept last night, I was just thinking about everything, taking it all in, every bit of it. Now I am home alone and able to really process my emotions. Yesterday if just felt like everything was moving so fast. Today I am embracing this moment the same way I will embrace my new life. My life will be so much better. I am so blessed to have this opportunity! God has definitely shined his light on me and I know this is just the beginning. God is always good to me, all the time!

Countdown has officially started: 20 days until my big day!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010 will be the day that I begin my new life.
