I LOVE Dr. Wasser and Tina I'm getting surgery soon and I'm so happy hes my doctor, I only heard great things from people about him and thats why I drive over 1 hr to see him. Tina the nurse is the best !!! Im a pain in the butt I call alot but she;s always there for me she helps me with everything. I;m so happy I went with them and I can't wait for my surgery.

My Story

Hi everybody  my name is Dora and I'm 29 years old OK OK fine I'm 32 but 29 sounds better  I live in New Jersey I'm originally from Italy (Naples).  I have a beautiful,wonderful,loving son     Anthony   hes 16 (my BABY)     (teenager) I was married to the love of my life but he passed away in a car accident.
I was always over weight some years more than others!!! I've been on diets all my life (starting 12&up) I would lose lots of weight and put it back and more  so the last time I lost weight was in 07/08 I lost about 90/100 lbs because my husband really cared about the weight so he wanted me to lose weight and I wanted to do it for us plus it felt great in EVERY WAY everything I did was so much better and I'm talking about everything  so after he passed away 12/20/09 I let everything go never did anything, ate whatever, plus I have thyroid problems so that really didn't help!!!! and went back up to 284lbs anyway I always wanted WLS,  10 years ago I was sure I wanted the RNY but a few people I knew had it done and had lots of problems so i got really scared plus my husband didn't want it at all!!! 
I was stalking the band for a while but after talking to my doctor plus researching it really good  I said HELL NO
I really had no idea about the sleeve I only knew there was 3 WLS when my doctor told me there was a 4Th one and told me about it, I was really happy and scared so I came home and was on the computer researching like a mad women about this surgery trying to find bad things about it and NOTHING ........so I really liked the idea but still didn't choose didn't have to until all my papers were done sooooo then I found OH  and read all the surgery's forums, VSG was my last one because I was scared to find out bad things like I was doing with the other ones  and after reading all you guys for days I called my Doctor and told him witch one I wanted   VSG   
So I just want to say thank you guys!!!!!
I'm so happy I have a beautiful family and friends  they are really happy for me and I can't wait to start this August 9Th  2011.
