Surgeon Testimonial

David Suh, M.D.
Very professional with excellent credentials. Staff very helpful. Excellent aftercare. He has 4 organized support groups within 40 miles of my home. Rate him as an excellent surgeon. Surgical competence is better than his bedside manner. He answers questions, but is no very chatty--sticks to business.

It's now been over 2 years since surgery --today is July 4, 2008. I've made it to Onderland (where you weigh under 200 pounds) and I've also succeeded in losing over 150 pounds on my RNY journey. Simple routine exercise, eating right, taking good vitamins, paying attention to lab results to see if you need additional vitamins, and attending support group meeting on a regular basis--these are the needed ingredients for my weight loss, and probably yours. I find that attending support group meetings an essential element for this surgery. I made good progress after surgery, attending meetings once a month. Then I "got lazy", and stopped going. In 5-6 weeks, I regained 22 pounds. That was my wake up call, and I begain attending meetings again. Eating properly, taking your supplements (I take calcium and the GBG Multi Formula Liquid Vitamin), routinely exercising, and attending group support meetings to be the proper "recipe" for success with surgery. I've lost that 22 pounds, and am down to 210 pounds now, the same weight I was when I got married in 1967, some 40 years ago. DAVE

I still use the Epic Ultra liquid vitamins, as noted in previous blogs. It's price was just increased to $29 a bottle. Increased costs of production and ingredients were the issues. Instead of degrading the vitamins and keeping the old price, the price was increased to retain the high nutritional quality of these vitamins.

I received my 3rd shipment from My Harvest America today.  I ordered a wide variety of items. 125 pounds of groceries for $111, no charge for Fedex shipment. I tried the golden corn made by their Spartan generic brand, and it was excellent. Cost for the 15.25 oz can was 33 cents.  Very happy with the quality of their merchandise, and it's packed extremely well too. No breakage or damaged foods in 3 shipments I've received to day. DAVE

My Harvest America grocery order
on January 14, 2010 7:14 am
I placed an order with www.myharvestamerica.com/groceriesforless on January 11, 2010.  The cost for my 84 grocery store items was $141.60 with free Fedex shipment.    I found 67 identical items at my local Stater Brothers grocery store, and did a compared the  prices on January 12.  On these 67 items, I saved $82.81 over what they would have cost me locally.  This is a 36.9% savings on this purchase.  The "price compared items" included food items, household cleaning products, snacks, cat food, coffee and SF creamers.  Fedex shipment cost was estimated at $86.02, which is FREE to My Harvest America members.

Save $$$ on your grocery bill
on December 27, 2009 9:27 am
This is a online grocery buying service just began in late December, 2009. I've joined this service. They offer over 10,000 items at excellent prices. Shipping is free via Fedex, arriving 2-5 days after your order is placed, depending how far you live from the shipping warehouse in Michigan. This service offers an excellent way to  save money, help college students with transportation issues, and would be also very helpful for elderly people who have transportation issues or when bad weather effects your locale. If you go to www.myharvestamerica.com/groceriesforless you'll see more details. If you go to the link, click on National Grocery Store tab, then click on blue Video button to see a short video presentation on how the ordering process works. Only for US States and US Territories currently.  Examples:
Bumble Bee Tuna in water, 5 oz can, $.20 vs  $.98 locally.
Jello SF pudding, $.64 vs $.98 locally.
Starbucks decafe ground coffee, 12 oz bag, $5.19 vs $7.98 locally.
Silk soymilk, 1 qt., $1.61 vs $2.48 locally
Rosarita veggie refried beans, 16 oz, $1.03 vs $1.58 locally.
Sunsweet pitted prunes, 18 oz, $2.78 vs $4.28 locally.
Crystal Lite, SF Rasperry Ice, 3.2 oz, $3.24 vs $4.28 locally.
Product catergories include: baby, Spices & Baking, Beverages, Breakfast, Jar & Canned, Sauces & Condiments, Dessert Mixes, Drugstore, Health & Beauty, Household & Misc., International, Pasta & Grains, Pets, Snacks, Spreads & Syrups.
