Getting my ducks in a row

I have been persistent in getting my pre-authorization work in line. I have been trying to complete one step each day. Here is how it has been going:

Thursday (day after surgeon visit) saw my PCP asking for medical records and his support in completing DS.
Friday wrote my personal letter why I need DS surgery
Monday called Dr. K's office to see if they got paperwork from my dr, they did not... called my dr's office again and asked for them to fax. They said they would do it same day. Dr K's ofc said my paperwork had been forwarded to Psychologist
Tuesday Psychologist called me in the evening and offered to make an in person appt in a few weeks or we could talk on the phone. We completed the consult on the spot on the phone. The Psychologist said she would forward my report to Dr. K by Friday.
Wednesday called Dr K's to see if PCP paperwork got there. Receptionist said it did.
Thursday nutritionist called me late in the evening for phone consult. I especially liked talking to her - she was a very nice person. She said on the phone she had never met Dr. K in person but had talked to many of his patients - wow!
Friday-Sunday I went on a mini vacation in San Diego. My husband and I had a great time antiquing at several antique malls (a lot of walking!) swimming and *taking it easy* It became apparent how really active we are. My back and knees hurt a lot and I was taking a lot of pain pills but still having a fantastic time. I can't wait until I have less pain!
Monday called Dr K to confirm they had everything I need to submit insurance approval. They called back and said they were missing PCP medical records (they had only faxed my weight loss records...oops). I called PCP at 330 pm and asked them again to fax. Dr K's ofc called back and confirmed they now have everything... yay!

Now I wait for insurance approval and a surgery date then a round of pre-op tests. I am starting to think about what I will need at the hospital and when I get back home.
