02/10/09 3 MONTH SURGIVERSARY!
on February 10, 2009 12:00 pm

Well, its been 3 months since the welcoming of my new sleeve.  I absolutely love it.  I am now in a size 12 pants that were once a size 16.  I have went from 243lbs. to 198lbs.  45 lbs lost.  Yes, this also makes me enter Onderland.    Woo Hoo!  My life is slowly changing.  I've been getting many comments on how great I look.  It's kinda hard getting used to.  I am now able to walk 1 1/2 miles without getting out of breath.  Time has really flown by.  Its hard to believe its already been 3 months.  Well, I just wanted to share my journey and how well my sleeve is working for me.  I'm loving it and my hubby is as well.

12/02/08 Just 3 weeks out!
on December 2, 2008 6:23 pm
Well, 3 weeks have passed and I'm feeling great.  I went to the doctor today for a checkup.  Everything is going great!  I'm no longer morbidly obese, but just obese.  Yeah for that!  I've lost 20 lbs in this short amount of time.  I can start eating solids this week.  I've reached the first goal my doctor set for me.  Now, I have to lose 25 more lbs. to reach the next goal.

My Story

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 20 years.  He is the greatest.  For most of my life, I have been overweight.  I have tried all the diets, got results, but it never lasted.  This past year, I was diagnosed as being insulin resistant.  I have backaches, shortness of breath and my feet and legs hurt.  I am ready to rid myself of all these symptoms of being overweight and begin a new journey in life.  This is why I have chosen WLS.  So everyone... jump on for the ride and see where it takes us.
