No surgery for me but...

I just got a call this past Friday (a snow day, yeah!) from the Bariatric Medical Program, this is the new program people have started talking about with the 12 weeks of OPTI then 14 more weeks of weekly meetings/appointments.  At this point, I am willing to go for it, see if we can nip this in the bud once and for all and finally be a healthy weight so I can do more with my kids while they still want to hang out with mom and before my daughter doesn't want to be seen with a fat one when we go shopping (my daughter is 9 and she loves to shop already, so I am anxious and nervous as I love shopping too...what damage we could do...yikes)

I've had to hire a lawyer now with my legal issues with the ex as he showed up at the case conference with a lawyer (lying SOB!)  anyway, apparently the lawyer I found is "a barracuda" according to two friends of mine, so I hope she goes for the jugular!  insert evil laugh... we are to get together for a 4 way meeting, not looking forward to hearing his BS...

I have found a mortgage broker who has given me hope on not having to move my kids!  It still depends all on me and if I can get my finances in order first, but I am not a lost cause!!! Woot woot!!

Had an awesome two days away two weeks ago with the kiddos and neighbour family, went to Great Wolf Lodge (has become a yearly trip for us now) but had to endure an ear infection on our return (mine)...ouch, no fun.  I am also happy to report that I filed my income tax today!  Nothing like having your stuff together to get 'er done!  My excitement is due to the fact that I'm getting a refund of course! or else, I wouldn't be filing till the deadline April 30th...ugh. 

Life is going okay, of course there's always room for improvement and wishing things were a little easier, but my kids keeping me moving and I am forever grateful to have been blessed with them...they are my world.
