Change is Beautiful....

The day finally came, as I knew it would. I gave my beautiful children back to thier biological father. Those of you who know me, are aware that I was a foster mom for four years. The courts made a decision that the children are to return to him. He is being given a second chance to be the father that they deserve. I pray for his sobriety and for their happiness. My life is changing drastically at the moment. I have lost what feels like everything this year....my job, my foster children, my home, and my marriage. I am in a complete life transition and I am learning how to cope and survive these changes without feeling the need to comfort myself with food. A truly amazing thing has happened, which began with a decision to get weight loss surgery. My mom bought me a butterfly necklace for Valentine's Day. She said it represents my transformation. When I opened the jewley box, a little card fell out with the following message: Change is beautiful. How beautiful to change, and reach for the sky. Like a caterpillar transforms into a lovely butterfly, To begin a new life filled with hope & new dreams...and to never be afraid no matter what life brings.
