My Wii got confused and recorded my weight while I was calibrating it...I'm at my lowest weight since birth!!! LOL

My profile refuses to let me add photos to my blog OR upload them to my pics...so here's the link....

Holy schneikes!

Well....apparently I have slightly neglected to post....

I am now just shy of 7 months out and as of this morning my weight is 299.5, for a total loss of 124.5. It is also the first time since my teen years that I have weighed under 300 pounds....oh yes, I stood on the scale and cried for a second.

In other news, Chris and I got married on Nov 1! There are pics in my photos and I have some more that I will be posting shortly.

I also have my official 6 month photos and measurements hanging around to be posted too, so I will try to get those up soon too. =)

I have more, we'll talk later!

2 months after surgery
on July 12, 2008 10:05 pm
Well, it has been a little over 2 months since my gastric bypass, so here is a little update on how I am doing!

I have lost 48 pounds since surgery, however, this number may change as I have not been back to the surgeon yet, and his scale tends to be a little different.

I have lost 8 inches off my waist, and adding up all 15 of the measurements that I take gives me 66.5 inches lost over my body.

I bought a pair of pants last weekend, two/three sizes smaller than what I was wearing, and they are actually too big, I think I should have bought the next size down. =( and =) LOL

I posted my two month pics in my photos!

One month after surgery
on June 9, 2008 10:34 pm
It has officially been one month since my surgery (2 days ago, actually), I have lost approximately 31 pounds (my scale at home is wonky so I am not sure exactly what I weigh now) in one month, and I have lost 7 inches off my waist! Totaling all 15 of the measurements that I take gives me 43" lost in my first month.

I uploaded my one month pics into my Before and After album, so you can see the pre-op and the one month side by side. I don't see a difference, but everyone who has seen me IRL in the last week says they can see it.

I am wearing different clothes in this months pics, this "outfit" is going to be my official pic outfit until it's too big.

Yay!

Sorry! Just realized I never posted when I got home!

Well, I am 3.5 weeks out now. As of my post-op appt a week ago I had lost 28 pounds since my surgery date. I was surpirsed, I didn't think it would be that much!

I am taking a pic every week (just the front) at the request of my mom, and I will post those here. I am also going to take all my measurements and a photo from all four sides once a month.

I noticed last night that I can see a difference now between the photos from my first week and last night. It's true what they say about taking pics, if I hadn't taken them, I would not notice it at all.

Although, my clothes are all too big already! I have a job interview today and I have no idea what I am going to wear, I look like a ragamuffin in everything, it's hanging off me!

OK....more later!

*hugs*

My Story

I'm sure that my story goes pretty much like a lot of other people on this website....I have been heavy my whole life.  Every photo of me from childhood on up shows me getting bigger and bigger.  I was a pretty happy kid for the most part, but I also did a really good job of hiding the fact that my size made me unhappy.  I have spent my whole life hiding the fact that I got (and still get) teased, called names, ridiculed.....I'm tired of it.  After countless diets I have decided to pursue WLS.  I didnt have any big moment of realization looking at photos and being surpirsed at how big I had gotten, I'm just tired of constantly having to fight for something that most of the populace takes for granted.  Things like being able to ride roller coasters...sit in booths at restaurants...climb stairs without gasping for breath at the top....walk into any store and buy cute clothes....the small things.
