Staples removed and it's official!

I've lost 15lbs in the last 10 days!  They put me on the scale and I held my breath but it actually stopped at 233 from the week before surgery when they weighed me at 248.  I don't think I've been this light in 13+yrs.  I remembered going over 200 my senior year of high school and being 242 my sophomore year of college, and that was 1997-98 for those who are wondering :)

I think I'm still swollen, so no major change in inches to report yet.  My jeans are a little looser, but that seems to fluctuate throughout the day.

Just got off the phone with the nutritionist, Theresa.  She said I'm doing great with my protein, fluids, vitamins and moving around!  It's a small thing but she sounded sincere and happy that I was doing well.  She said the pouch should have a 1/3c capacity, but I think mine is closer to 1/2.  Right before surgery, I asked Dr. Hoehn if he could make it a tiny bit bigger because I'm worried about having children in the future and needing to eat 24/7 to have enough nutrition, so maybe he did.  My husband said that he probably just SAID he could do it, but did it the normal way anyway.  One of the few instances of him being negative and jaded.  I'd like to think of Dr. Hoehn as a good, honest man.  Maybe he did, but maybe he didn't.

I wasn't able to ask him as my followup appt was with Dr. Kowalski, his partner.  Turns out that he had to do an emergency surgery, so the nurse wound up taking out my staples.  Weirdest thing... when they took off the opsites and rubbed off the dried blood, it smelled/smells like cinnamon or something.  My husband even commented on it and he can't smell anything. *LOL*  Made me laugh considering my nickname.  Now I'm REALLY sinnamongrrl.

Well, since I'm not on the pain meds and I can relatively twist enough to see traffic, I'm cleared to drive.  I have class tonight after recooperating during spring break last week.  I just hope that I'm not trashed tired after walking to class and sitting there for 3hrs.  Wish me luck!
