Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I am post-op Laparoscopic RNY; my surgery was on 5/24/05. Anyway, I will be praying for you, and I know you will come through surgery with flying colors. Pretty soon, you will be a big ol’ loser!! I’m not going to tell you that the first few weeks after surgery will be a bed of roses because it was pretty bad for me. But today, I feel fine and the only thing that I regret is that I didn’t have surgery in 2004 when I first started researching it. So, if you find that you’re having a hard time coping right after surgery, please know that it DOES get better. Don’t ever hesitate to email me if there is anything I can do for you – even if you just need a pep talk! So here’s to you… may you have a successful surgery, improved health, energy galore, many “wow moments”, and fabulous before-and-after pics! God bless! Hugs, Tracy

Getting to know me....
on February 23, 2008 3:26 pm
Hi all. My name is Brandy, and I am currently a stay at home mom to my beautiful 3 year old daughter Chelsea. I am married to my amazingly wonderful husband Shawn, who is currently deployed to Iraq. Shawn is a member of the US Army, and has been deployed for much of our marriage.

My husband has been so supportive of me and has seen me at my lowest and highest weights and he still loves me no matter what. But I decided to have gastric bypass surgery to use it as a tool to help me not only lose the weight but be able to maintain it.

I am considered a lightweight I guess for this surgery but because of other risk factors I am having the surgery. Besides not being able to sleep ever I have chronic backpain. I can say one thing I will be glad to see go from this surgery is my 38F twins. (yep...my bra size). But also ready for the numbness to go away in my feet.

My surgery is set for March 31st and I am really anxious for it to be here! I have a good group of friends who are going to help me out and support me while my husband is in Iraq. It's kinda sad that he can't be here to help me after the surgery, but then I am sooo excited to show him how much I have changed when he does get home!

So that's a little about me. Will write more later!

Also... I have an Angel...it's Beverly.  Thank you Beverly for being my ANGEL!!!
