Hernia Repair Surgery 9/18

Well, I was FINALLY called yesterday with a date for my hernia repair surgery. Tuesday, September 18th. I went to my pre-op on July 25th with the general surgeon up here in Alaska, and I also had the plastic surgeon from a different practice there at my appointment as well. Both surgeons will be working together on my case in the O.R.
So, they had to figure out their schedules to make sure that they would both be present after my surgery in case either one of them would be needed. I do know that I will be waking up with a wound-vac. The surgeons want to "tread cautiously" due to my prior incisional infection. The plan with that is to keep the wound-vac for 2 weeks. The vac sponge will be placed on top of my incision, not in my incision. Like I said..... Treading Cautiously.......
